Board of the foundation

The Board of the Foundation “Eindhoven Design” is formed by a chairman, a secretary and a treasurer. The Board determines the policy of the Foundation. The Board also establishes the Assessment and Advisory Body, which gives advice to the Board on granting Trademarks to products submitted. In exceptional cases and in consultation with the Assessment and Advisory Body the Board is entitled to grant the Trademark to generally respected Eindhoven designers. In its turn the Body is also free to recommend to the Board to grant the Trademark to a product.

The Board sees to registration in the Registry of Companies of the Chamber of Commerce in Eindhoven and the annual financial reports. The Board of the Foundation is responsible for granting and protecting the Trademark worldwide.

Further powers of the Board are recorded in the Articles of Association of the Foundation registered with the Chamber of Commerce in Eindhoven on 2 March 2009.
